Muir Woods
"This is the best tree-lovers monument that could possibly be found in all the forests of the world," declared conservationist John Muir.
Muir Woods National Monument is located in California Marin County just across Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco. The park occupies one of the Mount Tamalpais valleys. It is known for the magnificent coast redwood forest. The narrow flat valley winding along Redwood Creek between 1000-years old giant redwood trees is a magic place.
